Your Child’s First Step in Formal Education
Kindergarten is a pivotal year in your child's education and development.
It’s a time when the seeds of academic interest, social skills, and Christian values are sown. It’s also the year when children begin to build the foundations of beginner reading, writing, and math.
Our Kindergarten program is designed to lay a strong groundwork in both academics and character, tailored to meet the unique needs of young (and energetic!) learners. With a focus on individual attention and a nurturing environment, we ensure that each child is known, valued, and loved, setting the stage for a lifelong love of learning and growth.
Biblical Worldview
At CrossLife Christian Academy, we begin each day with Bible lessons, embedding Christian values and teachings into the core of our educational experience. Our aim is for students to not just learn about God’s Word but to learn how to live it out courageously.
Social and Emotional Skills
Recognizing the importance of social and emotional development, we provide ample opportunities for children to interact with their peers as well as students in other grades during play times. These interactions help kindergartners develop essential skills like relationship building, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
Early Literacy and Numeracy Skills
In Kindergarten, we focus on developing foundational reading and writing skills through small group instruction, tailored to meet each student at their level. Our approach to math is multisensory, ensuring students grasp basic counting, addition, and subtraction through engaging, hands-on activities.
Independent Problem Solving
Using social and emotional learning tools, we guide students towards independent problem-solving, a skill they practice and refine through play, class activities, and peer interactions.

The MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test is a three-part assessment used to evaluate the growth and proficiency of K-12 students in math, reading, and language usage. Scores are measured against national grade-level standards.
CrossLife conducts MAP testing in the fall, winter, and spring of each school year.
