Our Christian Elementary classes are a full 5 day program for our students that is packed full of learning experiences, outdoor play, rest time, songs, games, and more. We follow a structured day of activities, all of which are designed to enrich your child’s learning and foster their social development. At CrossLife Christian Academy in Pflugerville, we integrate God’s Word into every aspect of your child’s day. We begin our days focused on God by starting with a Bible lesson through our Christ Light curriculum. Our teachers work to bring God’s Word into all other curriculums, into life lessons, discipline, and conversations. There are many principles that our teachers implement in every classroom. Things like active learning, open-ended activities and play, differentiated instruction, and educating the whole child are at the heart of each lesson. The curriculums that we use for our core subjects allow for these principles to be utilized in the classroom.
Bible-Based Religion:
Faith in Jesus is the most important thing that your child will learn more about at CrossLife Christian Academy Pflugerville. Our Religion curriculum, Christ Light, is a Bible-based curriculum that helps children to learn and grow in their faith by hearing the Word of God each day. This curriculum includes many games, songs, activities, and take-home story pages to help your child grow and learn more about their Christian faith.
Whole-Body Physical Education:
Children are incredibly active and love to exercise their body and gross motor skills. For this reason, we implement the world’s most researched Physical Education program - SPARK™ (Sports, Play, and Active Recreation for Kids). This Bible-centered curriculum has many research-based programs that work with the age and ability level of your child. Lessons are created to help children develop different gross motor skills and have fun while they do it!
Growing Student Confidence in Mathematics:
Research has shown the importance of students understanding not only the “how” of math, but also the “why”! Reflecting that approach, we utilize Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt’s IntoMath™ Curriculum. Your child will learn how to do basic math skills and learn the conceptual understanding for those skills along with them. Through whole group, small group, and individual instruction, this curriculum will help your child to be engaged and excited about math.
Literacy-Based Reading, Writing, & Phonics:
At this age, children can learn incredible amounts of information from books. For this reason, we implement the Collabrative ClassroomTM curriculum, which is a literacy-based program that focuses on each child’s development and abilities. Whole group, small group, and individual instruction are all used to work with your child’s specific reading level. The use of big books, group readers, and interactive stories help each child to be engaged in the lessons and find their love for reading!Your child will learn and improve on many of their life skills and character building through all of their experiences at CrossLife Christian Academy in Pflugerville. They are given open-ended materials, toys, and activities that allow them to express themselves and make their own choices. Because of our dedicated teachers, data-proven curriculum, and desire for excellence, your child will learn perseverance, teamwork, leadership, creativity, and so much more.
